Pros: Great Value,Durable Construction, Cons: A bit wider than he expected

My son says he really enjoys this board, especially in the park. The only issue is that its a bit wider than we thought when he ordered it. We got it last season, so hopefully this year it will fit a bit better.

Matt GStaff: Hi Hans,

The Burton Custom Smalls Wide Snowboard would be a great board for you. You fit within the weight range and the wider width will better accommodate your size 10 boots. The Flying V profile shape is a great combo of Camber and Rocker that will let you thrash all over the mountain.

A shopper asked: I have burton size medium bindings and size 8 boots, would the 145cm be too wide? I'm only 5ft tall but I want a board that is big enough to last a long time. Dec 18, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matt GStaff: Hello Anonymous,

The 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Snowboard has a waist width of 24.5cm, the exact same waist width of the "Men's" 148cm Burton Custom Snowboard. As for a waist width you're size 8 boots will fit very well on the Custom Smalls.

Here's something to consider; the 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Snowboard has a weight range between 100 lbs. - 130 lbs. and the 148cm Burton Custom Snowboard has a weight range between 110 lbs. - 150 lbs.

I'm not sure what your weight is, but if it's between the weight range of the 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Snowboard, get it.

Matt GStaff: Yes the Burton Custom Smalls Wide 145cm is a good length for you. You fit within it's weight range of 100 - 130 lb. Depending on your foot size you could also ride the Burton Custom Smalls 140cm (90 - 120 lb).

Lukas B asked: hi, I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs. and wear a size 11 boot. would the burton custom smalls wide 145 work well for me? Aug 1, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matt GStaff: The Burton Custom Smalls 145cm is too narrow for your feet. With size 11 boots you'll want to ride a board wider than 258mm at the waist.

Check out the Burton Super Hero Wide 151cm. You fit within the specified weight range, it has a 261mm waist width, and it's an awesome board. http://www.the-house.com/9851btsuhw13zz-burton-snowboards.html

Roy MStaff: Yes the Burton Custom Smalls Wide Snowboards in 145cm would work for you. You may want to consider your growth - or potential growth if you're going to hang onto the board for a while. Where as it will work well for you now, maybe a 148cm in the men's version will serve you better in the long run. Sep 21, 2013
