  • "Great beginner board"

    , New York,NY
Pros: Good Edge Hold,Smooth Stability,Great Value,Quick Edge to Edge,Smooth Carves, Cons:

This thing was just floating over everything, even the slushy snow, and was overwhelmed by the responsiveness of this board. I had been use to too big, hard-to-turn boards. Itís very forgiving with mistakes. I have avoided nasty falls on icy flat surfaces because the edges grip like glue. And when I get scared and hesitate, a flick of my hips gets me on my comfy side right quick. AWESOME board.

Jumps or just carving around. This board is great at any style. This is 2012 version and Im happy I got it as I got a sweet deal because it isnt the newest model. I dont need the latest and greatest, id rather get the discount on a fab board.

Karen L asked: Would this board in 143cm work well for a beginner who is 5'4" and 100lbs? I am looking to learn how to carve and cruise down the mountain, not so much about doing jumps yet. Dec 31, 2013

Catherine J: Yes, I think this board will do well. I am a beginner and have the 148cm (I'm 5'3", 135lbs with really long feet though so I opted for the bigger size board). The board responds well and will allow you to carve and cruise easily. Just a fair warning, this board is FAST! You will pick up a lot of speed and quickly, so definitely get your plowing ability down early. I hope you love this board as much as I do. Happy shredding! Jan 6, 2014

Amanda m: You might possibly want to get a longer board if you're 5'4" and looking to cruise and carve. I am 5'4" 130lbs and learned on a 148. It was a great board to learn on for cruising, and I only want a shorter board now for park riding. Your mileage may vary with the weight difference, but it's a great all-around board for a beginner. Mary C: I bought this last year for my first board and first time boarding. I am actually 5'4 and 105. Ha! I love the board. By my third time I could get all the way down hills turning heel side without looking like an idiot or falling. Toe side I'm still working on. I think it is a decent first board and I have enjoyed it so far. Dec 31, 2013

Mary C: I am 5'4 and 105. I bought this board last year. I think it is a decent first board. I think I got the smaller one for my height. They have calculators that you can use online to figure out what size to get. By my third time I could get down hills heelside without falling. I'm still working on toeside. Dec 31, 2013
