Description: Sapient Rival Snowboard - Boys

The Sapient Rival Snowboard maintains a classic and laid back look, but with bleeding edge technology this board sports a ride that will please any rider out there. Meant for all-mountain and freestyle use with its directional twin shape, the board also features a Cucumber Camber profile. With this, the board is smooth when flat thanks to the zone between the bindings, but rockered edges make for a catch-free smooth ride on turns or landings. Altogether, the Rival is a perfect entry level or intermediate board that provides all-around versatility and great performance.

Love this deck
I bought this as a step up from my into level board. Its sick. Its not an expensive high end board, but for the money it is awesome. It holds and edge well and is easy to carve with. Fast too

my son's x-mass present
great board for the price. My son is cursed with the family sasquatch foot issue so finding a board for a kid with wide board needs was awesome.

are there pre drilled holes for bindings??
A shopper on Mar 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: yes and you can install yourself
but we would recommend have someone
at the resort install it for you
Can your store mount the bindings?
Jana R on Jan 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Sapient Rival Snowboard is a standard 4 hole pattern with the 6mm inserts in the board. It just involves screwing in the 4 screws per binding. Super quick and easy. If you do it, you will be sure it is secure and have the knowlege you can change the stance as you ride more. Also it is a good idea to check all your binding screws occasionally.
My son is 5 '4 120 pounds , a men's size 9.5 shoe. this will be his first year boarding he's one of hose that pick up sports quick. I want to get him a begginer board that will still be good for intermediate. He will get there fast. My head is spinning reading all the descriptions on my he different boards . What size would be best ? I have heard lighter and smaller ? 145? He will want speed and to do tricks , ride the pipe ,etc
Please help !!! Ty

BEST ANSWER: Hi Christina, I'm not an expert boarder by any means, however I do own this sapient board. I think this will be a great board for a beginning boarder, and will last thru intermediate until he find what he likes and decides to upgrade. However, my only consideration would be his size 9.5 feet (snow boots), which may be so big that they hang over the front and/or back edge of the board. I am about 5 feet tall so it was perfect for me. But even my snowboots stick out about an inch or two. If you are expecting your son to grow (you didn't indicate his age), then this board will not work for in the next year. Since this is his first experience, I might even recommend renting equipment so that he can learn and start to understand what he likes about different boards and how different boards ride. Then once he learns his preferred style and stance, he can make an informed decision. Some people like SPEED. Some others like flexibility for tricks. Good luck!
Is this good for park and powder?

BEST ANSWER: This board is exceptionally soft, was torn up after just one use by a 95 lb rider. Most definitely would NOT recommend.
i am 5 4 and weigh 113 pounds and wear and size 7 shoe in youth. i use a 145 right now but my mom says its to small. would this board work?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2016

we only have the 144 in this board. You could ride a couple sizes up, but not too much. The size depends on how you like to ride. Do you want more stability and control? maybe a 148cm would work for you.
