Mary D: Mine came installed and all ready to go. It even comes with some stickers they can put on their helmet or on their board. This is a sweet set up for a starting boarder. My little guy loves his new board. I can't say enough good things about this company. They make enjoying an awesome sport affordable for younger kids. Now I can save and buy a fancy board when he is much older;) Thanks house!! Jan 13, 2014

Amy O: I bought this snow board for my 12 year old for Christmas. The snowboard came with the bindings already attached. The boots were way too small however so he just uses it with his regular snow boots. Last snow storm he was the star of the local sledding hill. Jan 14, 2014

Scott C: Yes the bindings are mounted in a neutral position on the board. You can adjust the bindings for a wider stance if you need to. This is a greater starter kit. All you have to do is open it up. Put the boots on and go! Jan 13, 2014

Kelly F asked: My son is almost 10 and is a beginner snow boarder. He is 4' 9 1/2", weighs around 72 lbs and wears between a 6.5 boys - 7 mens size shoe (depending on the brand). What would be the best option for him? Thanks! Nov 30, 2013

Matt GStaff: Hi Kelly,

That's awesome that your son is snowboarding at such a young age! I started around the same age and have been doing it for over 20 years now.

We do not have any pre-set snowboard packages that would fit the combination of his weight and boot size. I'll create some combinations for you, but I'll need to know what you have budgeted. Generally the 50% of the total will be set aside for the cost of the board, 25% for boots, and 25% for bindings.

I hope to hear back soon.

Kelly F: Hi Matt! Thanks for getting back to me! I was thinking around $250-$275ish....
Thanks!

Matt GStaff: Here's what I came up with! I'm glad to help and get the younger generation of riders on the right gear! It's tough to get a great bindings or boot for $62.50-$68.75 but I picked out the best ones that are close in price.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Kelly F: Ok! I know which items I want! One last quick question though, well, maybe two. ;) 1. Is there some leeway for his growth? I'd like to get this winter and next winter out of this! He's growing way too fast IMO! 2. The bindings have to be attached to the board, do you do that before you send it? If I just order these online, do you automatically attach the bindings? As you can see, I know nothing about this. However, I have a feeling I will be getting familiar quite soon! :) Dec 2, 2013

Diana C asked: Hi
I'm looking for a snowboard package (board, binding and boot) for my 11 year old son who weighs about 90lbs and wears a size 4 or 5 boot (i'm leaning toward the size 5 as he's growing). Please advise. Maybe also one for my 8 year old - same package but his boot size would be 3 (or also maybe a 4)? Please advise. Diana

Matt GStaff: Hi Diana,

Your 11 yr. old would be best riding the following package with size 5 boots and 132cm board: http://www.the-house.com/vendor-spark-bindings.html

Your 8 yr. old would be best riding the following package with size 4 boots and 120cm board: http://www.the-house.com/9820k2gr412zz-k2-snowboard-packages.html

Good luck! I think it's awesome you're getting them started so young!

shelley l asked: Hello and thank you for the help. Son is 4 feet 7 inches and 64 lbs wears a 5 shoe. What size of board and boot? He is also a beginner. Nov 26, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matt GStaff: Your son fits within the weigh ranges of 100cm-120cm length boards. If he wears a size 5 shoe, he should wear a size 5 boot. It looks like the K2 Mini Turbo Grom Package Snowboard would fit him perfectly! Luck you. Nov 29, 2013

Heather M asked: Interested in the K2 Mini Turbo Grom Pack 120 for my son. Anyone know if the boot size is adjustable?? (We purchased a similar K2 pack for my daughter a couple of years ago, and her boots ARE adjustable, but I can't find anything that says that in the description for this package.) Nov 6, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Roy MStaff: Heather,
Unfortunately the K2 Vandal kids boots that come with this system do not have a 'room to grow' feature to them. You could always size up and add an additional insole into the boots for the first season.
