THAT IS WHAT MY GRANDSON WANTED
Jerry M on Feb 14, 2014
Like the kit. Good price. K2 has been a solid brand for years. My son has had this for three weeks, The quality is GREAT, the overall system could not be better. The BOA boots are awesome, he gets in and out quickly and easily. He is 8 years old, 50" tall, 70lbs and the 110 was perfect for starting out. First day he was making turns both heal and toe side. He is now riding the whole mountain and will be in this for most likely one more year maybe two.

Do the bindings come on the board or do I have to install?
Jim V on Jan 13, 2014
Best Answer: Mine came installed and all ready to go. It even comes with some stickers they can put on their helmet or on their board. This is a sweet set up for a starting boarder. My little guy loves his new board. I can't say enough good things about this company. They make enjoying an awesome sport affordable for younger kids. Now I can save and buy a fancy board when he is much older;) Thanks house!!

Do the bindings come attached?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2014
Best Answer: The bindings are attached but need to be removed the take off the protective plastic wrap then re-adjusted to suit the size and riding style of the snowboarder. A #3 screwdriver is necessary. Our 9 year old was able to easily adjust the bindings himself under parental supervision.

would this be a good board for a kid thats just learning?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2013
Best Answer: Yes, this is great learner set up. My kid moved from a 105cm Lamar to this in a 120cm. Also it is a ton of bang for the buck if you get the combo.

If the child is just learning don't oversize like most of us parents like to do to get an extra season out of the board as it is much easier to learn/control if the board is a little smaller.

My kid is 7 now and learned to ride when he was five. He skied from 2 1/2 till five. For him a board that goes from the ground to just under his chin seems to fit best.

My son is almost 10 and is a beginner snow boarder. He is 4' 9 1/2", weighs around 72 lbs and wears between a 6.5 boys - 7 mens size shoe (depending on the brand). What would be the best option for him? Thanks!
Kelly F on Nov 30, 2013
Best Answer: Hi Kelly,

That's awesome that your son is snowboarding at such a young age! I started around the same age and have been doing it for over 20 years now.

We do not have any pre-set snowboard packages that would fit the combination of his weight and boot size. I'll create some combinations for you, but I'll need to know what you have budgeted. Generally the 50% of the total will be set aside for the cost of the board, 25% for boots, and 25% for bindings.

I hope to hear back soon.

Every company that we have in stock that makes youth/kids gear is great, we wouldn't sell it if it wasn't great.

Hi
I'm looking for a snowboard package (board, binding and boot) for my 11 year old son who weighs about 90lbs and wears a size 4 or 5 boot (i'm leaning toward the size 5 as he's growing). Please advise. Maybe also one for my 8 year old - same package but his boot size would be 3 (or also maybe a 4)? Please advise. Diana

Your 11 yr. old would be best riding the following package with size 5 boots and 132cm board: http://www.the-house.com/vendor-spark-bindings.html

Interested in the K2 Mini Turbo Grom Pack 120 for my son. Anyone know if the boot size is adjustable?? (We purchased a similar K2 pack for my daughter a couple of years ago, and her boots ARE adjustable, but I can't find anything that says that in the description for this package.)
Heather M on Nov 6, 2013
Best Answer: Heather,
Unfortunately the K2 Vandal kids boots that come with this system do not have a 'room to grow' feature to them. You could always size up and add an additional insole into the boots for the first season.
