Staff Review

D-Mac, here to talk about the Burton Chopper. A super, super, highly radical board for the little groms. Really good for that first time rider. A couple of technologies that make it a lot easier to learn on this board.
Starting off, it's a true twin, centered flex, centered sense, centered side cut. It's a nice shallow, single radius side cut. It's going to be mellow and predictable for them. Cap construction. It's going to make the boards a little cheaper, as far as cost goes, but it's also going to reduce the weight and make the edges act a little bit more independently than if it had a heavy sidewall over it.
From there, the real viable technology on this one is the convex base. It's kind of hard to see here, but it does roll, like this. What that does is it makes it really, really easy for the kids to roll the board up on edge and do a carve and it also makes the edges less likely to catch. From there, you've got their sintered Vision, not sintered Vision, but their Lightspeed Vision base. It's an extruded base. It's really clear, you get a lot of pop from the graphic. Super easy to maintain. It doesn't require that much waxing. Rub on waxes work really well with it. Super easy to repair if the kids take a chunk out of it.
Other than that, you've got a sick graffiti inspired graphic and, you know, a really, really good price point. That's where a lot of people get scared away by the Burton name, but their kids products are some of the most affordable on the market. So, yeah, rad.
