Hi, I love the Head The Show ski. Do you know if the bindings are a track system or more universal?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Show ski is sold flat without any binding plate. The Attack series binding is the most common choice for The Show ski. This is true with The Caddy and Framewall models as well.
I'm trying to decide between the 2015 vokl ledge and the 2014 Head The Show. I ski the park a lot but I do all mountain with my bros also. Which ski will be more durable and which ski is all around a better? How much of a difference is there?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Being the rep for Head my answer is a BIT biased. There is a difference in sidecut between The Show and the Ledge. The Show in in a 172 is 112/79/106 with a turn radius of 19.1 meters as compared to the Ledge which is 112/85/112 with a turn radius of 21.2 in a 171. The Show uses a vertically laminated wood core with a fiberglass wrap and the same top sheet as our rental skis for greater durability. The Show has a 30% rocker 70% camber construction so it gives good performance in the park but still has good camber/edge contact to provide good performance when free skiing on the mountain and carving turns. If you spend time on groomed slopes when skiing with your "Bros" The Show is a great choice. I'll leave the skiing characteristics of the Volk up to someone slightly less biased than me.
What's the main difference between "the caddy" and "the show" by Head?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The biggest difference is the sidewall construction. The Show is a full laminated wood core with Sandwich Twintip Construction and the Caddy is the same. The Show has a snakeskin cap top sheet that wraps over the ski edge to edge for durability and the Caddy has a vertical sidewall ("Tuffwall") construction which will give more performance to the edge.
Is the 2016 version of this ski a true twin? Are any of the show skis true twins?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, The Show is a true twin tip with PNP rocker construction which is 30 % rocker and 70% camber construction. There is a 15% rocker in the tip and tail and the middle 70% is cambered.
how wide in mm is this ski,in a size 172 cm?
A shopper on Aug 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As the specs show for the Head The Show Skis the underfoot width is 79mm.
