    Pros: Good Edge Hold,Great Value,Smooth Ride,Quick Edge to Edge,Floats in Powder,Smooth Carves,Fast Base,Great Carving,Great Response,Good Grip,Holds Edge on Ice, Cons: Feels a little heavy in 182cm, maybe 175cm better?

Recent Demo of the Fischer Motive 80 prompted purchase. The conditions I ski are mainly hardpack and ice where this ski works well. Don't expect lightning quick edge-to-edge performance from this somewhat wide and softer ski. It shines in crud and soft snow conditions where it floats thru with great stability. It proved to be an absolute blast in the 7” of snow we recently received in PA. Very pleased overall, and the price offered here by The House is an unbeatable value. No regrets, still smiling after 3 outings.

    Pros: Good Edge Hold,Great Value,Smooth Ride,Quick Edge to Edge,Floats in Powder,Smooth Carves,Fast Base,Great Carving,Great Response,Good Grip,Holds Edge on Ice,Great Construction, Cons: Seems a little heavy in 182cm Lenght...Maybe 175cm better?

I was able to Demo this Ski before purchase. Never Skiing A wider,rocker-tipped ski, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked in the crud and loose snow conditions. My follow up on harder snow again proved satisfactory results. Please don't expect lightning quick edge to edge response on hard snow this is a somewhat wider and softer ski. It does work well for the Eastern skier who likes a little wider ski for the occasional snowstorm but still needs a ski to work in the harder and icy conditions that are common here in PA. I shopped around for the Fischer Motive 80 looking for a leftover deal and The House delivered. Thanks

Wanted to be at the 80mm under foot. Slightly better performance in powder for an all mountain ski at that width. Fantastic price buying on President's Day. Thanks.

The make and model. I have been looking for an 80 waisted all mountain ski. I liked the reviews for this model and the price is an extremely good value.

Great skis at an excellent price. Have researched many ski resellers and this was the best as far as selection and price goes.
Darren W on Feb 5, 2014
are these bindings mounted or do I have to mount the binding on the powerrail?
andy s on Nov 19, 2013
Best Answer: Unfortunately, we can not mount skis due to liability and the difficulty involved without the skier and ski boots on site. The House recommends taking your equipment; boots, skis and bindings, to your local and trusted ski shop to be mounted by a certified professional.

Best Answer: Tony,

This is the 2013 Fischer Motive 80 Skis. They are great carver skis. You can really lean them over on edge.

Here is our international shipping info:

Hope this helps.

I'm looking to transition to a newer ski from a 2001 Salomon XScream (106-68-96). Should I be concerned about moving from a ski with a 68cm waist to this ski with an 80mm waist or would I be better off moving to something like the Motive 76? I'm an advanced intermediate skier.
A shopper on Jan 5, 2014
Best Answer: The ski is a little more flexible than I would have liked - having moved from super stiff Rossignol racing skis - but I have adjusted to these and am enjoying skiing on them. The added flexibility makes your edges feel a bit different; there's more forgiveness in the edge, making them float more on the snow rather than dig into it. As for the width, they're very easy to turn, and I don't think that the wider girth is going to affect your ability to turn, no matter your turning style. This ski is lighter than what I was skiing on, and that has been fun as they're less arduous to maneuver. Also, regarding the width under your arch, the ski is so much wider at the tips that it almost looks like a powder ski. So you're still getting that difference in the sidecut, which is why they still will turn so easily despite the 80mm. Bottom line is I'm liking these skis, though I needed to adjust to them. BTW, the Motive 76 is a beginner ski, isn't it?
