Ability Level:
Purchased these skies last season, and let me tell ya, they do not disappoint! They turn on a dime as they should, the only downside, well for me at least, is that I wish they came in longer lengths, because I'm super tall, but still they are the best pair of skis I've ever owned!!

I'm 5'8 158 intermediate skill. should I get the 161 cm or 168?
Hillel M on Feb 13, 2014
Best Answer: For intermediate, you want a ski length that's gonna fall somewhere between your chin and your nose, probably closer to your nose more than anything. So with a tape measure, measure from the ground to your nose, and convert that length from inches into centimeters. Once that's done pick the ski length that's closest to that number. Hope that helps.

Are these good race/carving skis?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2014
Best Answer: Yes they are the best carving skis I've ever owned! They can turn on a dime no sweat. As for racing I'm 6'4" on the 175cm and boy when I get going fast it does feel a little unstable, but then again I'm a tall dude on a shorter ski. But yes, if I was a little shorter, then this would be my perfect race/carving skis! Hope that helps.

I heard from a ski shop that the old model of this ski has better bindings than the new ones. What do you know of that and are these the new bindings or the old ones?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2013
Best Answer: The Powerrail Binding system is pretty much identical throughout the line of Motives. This is 2013 Ski Season model. It is a great system for the skier looking to crush the groomers.
