what size do I need for 125lbs and 5'5" height? I am looking at the Siam Elite S Grip ski?
Jennie B on Nov 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jennie,

You fall into both the Small and Medium sizes, but I'm a firm believe in going up...
It says the Salomen Snowscape 7 Siam ski weights 1250 g. Is this for one ski or for both skis?
Wendy N on Mar 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Salomon Snowscape 7 Siam Cross Country Skis Grey Eqt/White - Womens 2015 weight 1250 g for the pair in the small size and 1550g in the large size.
If you buy Salomon Snowscape 7 XC Skis, do you need to buy SNS bindings or can you mount NNN bindings?
Melissa T on Feb 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Melissa,
Great question. You should have no problem mounting the NNN bindings to a Salomon ski. As always with XC skis the ski needs to be wide enough (or bindings be narrow enough) to mount correctly.

Fischer Desire My Style Mounted Cross Country Skis - Womens 2015

Do any of these have scales and edges?
Adriana L on Feb 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Adriana.
Both skis are waxless... that is... they use a scaling of sorts. By edges do you mean metal edges? There are only a few XC skis that have metal edges.... ex: http://www.the-house.com/8989robc9015zz-rossignol-cross-country-skis.html
I'm 5.6 148 Lbs what is the right size skis for my weight? Which woman's skis have scales and edges and fit on tracks?
Adriana L on Feb 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Adriana!
Sorry to delay your question. Both Salomon and Fischer suggest that about a 170 to 175 length Classical Ski would be optimal for you. Any of our current Women's XC skis will work great in groomed tracks. All but the Rossignol Zymax ski will have molded edges. These have been quite popular: http://www.the-house.com/8902sasns7sgew15zz-salomon-cross-country-skis.html
I'm 5'6 125lbs and an x racer but want something for the state forests with women made tracks... and some men. But just some fun skis when we can't hit the wax. Small or medium Salomon Snowscape 7 Siam Cross Country Skis Grey Eqt/White - Womens 2015?
LiLynn G on Feb 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Lilynn! For parks I am going to assume you are looking at some Classical Style XC skis? These Salomon Snowscape are actually a grand choice for what you are describing. I have a secret love of Rossi stuff, and suggest you look at these too: http://www.the-house.com/8978roxteanw12zz-rossignol-cross-country-skis.html .These here will not be as quick, but will be simple, inexpensive and fun: http://www.the-house.com/8978roxtvt14zz-rossignol-cross-country-skis.html .For more details have a chat with our ski specialists here: 1 (800) 409-7669.
Hi I want to get into XC skiing; I live near a large city park so would probably be making my own tracks, and skiing on singletrack trails that are shared with mountain bikers. I am thinking backcountry skis with metal edges. I am a 44 year old female, 5' 2, 125 lbs. and fairly athletic, though needing to get back in shape...need suggestions on brands, sizing etc.?
Liz E on Jan 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Liz, And I am happy you want to XC ski! The Back Country skis that you are describing will be quite heavy and unweildly on a person figuring out skiing. However it makes sense that you would want a wider and stabler ski for blazing your own trail, and traveling on mountain bike paths. Know that the more back country of a ski you get the less glide you will have too. Following your line of thought... Rossignol offers many in between skis that are simply amazing... this would be great: http://www.the-house.com/8990robc7015zz-rossignol-cross-country-skis.html .I own a similar pair with no metal edges, and they are great. That said, the Snowscape skis that you are looking at here would be excellent skis to develop some skills on and cruise the park by your house.
do these skis come with bindings?

BEST ANSWER: Hi!

Are skiis sold as pairs?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yep!
